I have been building a small web app called Peckly in my spare time, and the waitlist has been live for a little over a week now. The idea came from my own habit. I used to plan meals only a day or two at a time, which meant several trips to the grocery store each week, and I still bought food that was not really a meal. Peckly is my attempt to fix that. You pick your Kroger, and Peckly pulls that week's sales for that store. It shows recipes that use those items, and lets you build a meal plan and a grocery list from them, so the sale items decide the menu instead of the other way around. I am starting with three Kroger stores around Morgantown, West Virginia, and the beta will be for the Morgantown area only. I posted about it last week in the two Morgantown area subreddits to see if anyone there would actually use it, and I am at 50 waitlist signups so far. To be clear about the waitlist, joining it is interest only. It does not mean you get access right away, and I do not have an ETA for when it opens up. If enough people are interested, that tells me it is worth putting more time into and opening it in batches so I can fix things as people start using it. It will be free when it does open. And if you are not near Morgantown, this beta round is not for you. I would rather say that up front than collect signups I cannot serve yet. https://pecklyapp.com What I am hoping to get from this sub is landing page feedback. If you look at the page, what would make you decide not to sign up? I would rather fix the obvious problems now than guess at them. submitted by /u/Puzzleheaded_Ad4629 [link] [comments]
