John Stewart and Chelsey Stone Stewart arrived at Gulfstream Park a few days before the 2025 Pegasus World Cup in search of a marquee contender for the big day. After watching In Our Time (Not This Time) go through her morning training and giving her a thorough once-over afterward, they decided she was the perfect fit.Resolute Racing promptly bought into the Saffie Joseph trainee ahead of her graded stakes debut in the GII Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational Stakes. Though she finished a commendable third behind MGSW Be Your Best (Ire) (Muhaarar {GB}) and Grade I victress Sacred Wish (Not This Time), the filly was only just getting started.Over the two past two seasons, In Our Time has amassed eight graded placings highlighted by a Grade I victory. As a dominant force in the turf sprint division, she has pushed her career earnings past $1.9 million, making her the highest-earning daughter of top sire Not This Time.    “She's just a classy girl,” Chelsey Stone Stewart said. “She has her own style of running. She likes to get out on the lead and once she gets her way and has a good trip, I think the world is hers.”Coming off a victory in the GI Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Sprint Stakes in her most recent start, In Our Time will take on the GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint for the partnership of Miller Racing and Resolute Racing. After, she'll head to Fasig-Tipton for the Night of the Stars Sale, where she will sell as Hip 203 with Elite Sales.“I'm not sure how much better it gets than Not This Time,” said Elite's Jake Memolo. “He has grown to be an outstanding sire and not many of his Grade I-winning daughters have been presented at public auction yet, so it's a unique opportunity.”Last year, In Our Time's rival by the same sire, Sacred Wish, brought $2.1 million at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale. Not This Time currently tops the 2026 Leading Sires list by earnings going into Breeders' Cup weekend.“The versatility of the racehorses Not This Time produces is really remarkable,” said Fasig-Tipton's Boyd Browning. “I don't know that we've got another stallion in the world that's got the range he's demonstrated so far. His impact as a broodmare sire is obviously still to be felt because he's a young stallion, but he has a great pedigree as a son of Giant's Causeway, who has been a very good broodmare sire. The potential is unlimited for daughters of Not This Time.”In Our Time a close second in the 2025 GII Franklin Stakes | Coady MediaA winner on debut as a 3-year-old going six furlongs over the Gulfstream main track, In Our Time collected her first stakes win stretching out to a mile and a sixteenth on turf in the Cellars Shiraz Stakes. Last year as a 4-year-old, her five graded placings included runner-up performances in the GII Franklin Stakes going five and a half furlongs and the GI Matriarch Stakes at a mile. This year, the dark bay returned to the winner's circle for the GII Giant's Causeway Stakes sprinting at Keeneland.“We spent a lot of time running her a bit further, but then I think Saffie really got her figured out and we felt like her best performances would come around one turn rather than two turns,” explained Memolo. “However, she's still Grade I placed at a mile in the Matriarch and I think that speaks to Saffie's confidence in her, as well as the connections being patient and letting him figure her out.”In Our Time wins the GII Giant's Causeway Stakes | Coady MediaIn her Grade I victory at Kentucky Downs, In Our Time assumed her normal position on the lead early and never looked back, prevailing by 3 1/2 lengths to notch a career-high 98 Beyer Speed Figure.“She shot out of the gate, showed phenomenal speed, and kicked away in the lane,” recalled Memolo. “Just when you thought maybe they were going to come get her, she had a lot more in the tank.”“The margin of victory was impressive,” added Browning. “She beat some of the top fillies in the country and she won by daylight, which is very difficult to do going six and a half furlongs.”Stone Stewart said they are feeling confident going into the Breeders' Cup and excited to take on some of the top turf sprinters worldwide, including G1 Nunthorpe victor Bacio (Maclean's Music), G1 Flying Five winner Comanche Brave (Ire) (Wootton Bassett {GB}) and Breeders' Cup champion Cy Fair, another daughter of Not This Time who will head to the Night of the Stars after the world championship meet concludes on Saturday. In Our Time will be offered at Fasig-Tipton as a racing or broodmare prospect. Stone Stewart emphasized both the filly's physical attributes and her strong page as selling points for her next owner. The 5-year-old is a half-sister to stakes winner Important Mission (More Than Ready) and from the family of Grade II winner Withgreatpleasure (Hold That Tiger).“There are so many great stallions out there and options of who you could take her to, even on the European market, so she's very versatile,” she said. “She has a great size to her. She's scopey but also compact. She's all around well-balanced and just with her speed alone, I think she's very appealing.”“She's a beautiful mare,” Memolo added. “I can't help but think she's going to be a collector's item.”The post In Our Time Heads to Fasig-Tipton Following Breeders’ Cup Bid appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
