FM-1 Learning hub with 213+ security scanned firmwares, printable overlays for the panels, and tutorials!

Hi Guys, [The limited 25 seat free beta test link is at the bottom of this post!] I wanted to share my fm-1 learning hub with the community here! https://les.audio/guides/m-vave-fm-1 I refresh this page every day, including printable PDF overlays that are the precise size of the fm-1, printable on standard paper with the actual controls for the firmware of your choice. I run basic security scans against any firmwares I add--no guarantees there but it's probably going to catch any boilerplate malicious code. I've also got an expanding library of quickie short-form video tutorials to get you going: https://les.audio/guides/m-vave-fm-1?show=videos On les.audio as a whole: No human being can remember 213+ different firmware button layouts or menus or workflows, but you still kinda want to try them all. As a longtime used-gear-on-reverb-addict, this was the problem I was looking to solve for myself when I went to start building this engine, but writ LARGE. I love new stuff, but I hate menu diving and hunting around manuals for MIDI info, or staring at a big modular patch bay scratching my head on exactly where to get started. I would use YouTube a lot but found myself not quite having the same setup as the Youtuber, or rewinding the same part 10 times until I understood it. Now I just add the new thing to my Les gear inventory and the friction of that is gone. FM-1 running a firmware that came out yesterday? Cool, here's every control clearly labeled and a 5 step tutorial you can talk to to get you going, and here's what you need to get your Digitakt to trigger it, and here's how to record that into Ableton. No hallucinations, beautiful vector diagrams of the exact panels that highlight and animate the relevant knob or button or key for each step in a walkthrough, and if you get lost you can just ask--there's no sense of "asking a dumb question". A note also: Les never makes music for you. It's just there when you need to help you learn and reduce the friction that gets in the way of the fun creative stuff. A studio assistant that just knows how stuff works and can show you It's in closed beta, but I am opening up 25 slots this week specifically for fm-1 users because I love a DIY community with my whole ass. You are my people. No card to sign up, but you will need to join the Discord. https://les.audio/guides/m-vave-fm-1?utm_source=kevin-post&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=fm1-beta-2026-10#beta=LEytSkNUjXKse1djusmBUA If the 25 seats have been taken you can still join the list and I will send your invite when we open it up a little wider. Still under active development, but I am really happy with it so far, and it's probably the best possible way to learn these firmwares. submitted by /u/grooveloomdotcom to r/MVaveFM1 [link] [comments]
