When people see "unlimited testimonials free" on my site, the first reply is always "ok, where's the catch?" Honest answer: collecting testimonials is not the product I want to sell. It's only the first step. Right now Testimoon (testimoon.com) does this: you paste your website URL, it reads the page and writes a collection form that sounds like your product, not a generic "rate us". You share the link, approve the good answers, and they show on your site. Unlimited, no card. The only thing on free is a small Testimoon branding on the widget. But most testimonials just sit in one carousel on the homepage forever. That's where I think the real value is lost, so this is what I’m building next: Reuse. Turn one testimonial into a social post, an email snippet or a sales slide, without copy paste. Find the right one. Describe a situation, like "new client worried about price", and get the testimonials that fit it best. Smart widgets. The best quote for your homepage is not the best one for your pricing page. Widgets will pick the right testimonials for each page and rotate them. None of this works if you have only 5 testimonials. You need a lot of them. So I made collecting free and unlimited, and the paid plan will be about what you do with them after. Which of these would be useful for you or is there something else you'd do with your testimonials? submitted by /u/OldLie1102 [link] [comments]
