i currently work full-time night shift at a rehab hospital, and i actually really enjoy it! it’s basically a slower-paced med-surg environment with more stable patients, which is exactly what i prefer. i’m looking to pick up a prn job for extra income, preferably something non-bedside, but realistically i know most night shift opportunities are going to be bedside lol. for nurses who work full-time nights, what prn jobs have worked best for you? what specialties would be an easy transition from inpatient rehab without jumping into a super high-stress environment? i’ve also noticed that trying to balance a daytime prn position while working full-time nights can be difficult because of the conflicting sleep schedules. i’m open to different settings, but i’d love something relatively low-stress, flexible, and preferably nights. any recommendations or personal experiences would be appreciated!   submitted by   /u/kensknees1 [link]   [comments]
