It should come as no surprise that this is at a for-profit hospital, but can someone clarify if 1) this is common practice at other hospitals in IL? In Illinois, hospitals taking Medicaid must medically clear patients in the ER prior to that patient being transferred to a psych unit. There's no mention of routine COVID or flu on that list. We are getting patients from the ER with no labs, COVID or flu swabs.
