Gold Daily Setup Map: Summer Floor Lost, Lowest Since Oct 2025GoldOANDA:XAUUSDIndicatrGold is down about 2.5% today and printed 3,891.6, its lowest level since late October 2025. Here is the daily structure and the two closes that matter. What happened The old October floor at 4,066 to 4,110 has turned into a lid. The Fed-day bounce on Oct 28 topped at 4,083, right underneath it, and rolled over. Today price cut through the summer 2026 floor at 3,940 to 4,000. That zone held every test from June to early August, with lows at 3,942, 3,959 and 3,960. The drop paused inside 3,880 to 3,930, the October/November 2025 lows. That is the last shelf before the September 2025 base. Context: the Fed held at 3.75 to 4.00% on Oct 28, with two members voting for a hike, and the US 10-year yield traded around 5% on decision day. Bull case: a daily close back above 4,000 puts price back inside the summer floor and turns today into a failed breakdown. Next area: 4,066 to 4,110, the lid. Bear case: a daily close below 3,880 loses the 2025 lows. Next area: 3,760 to 3,800, the September 2025 base. Between 3,880 and 4,000 there is no edge. After a 2.5% day, intraday wicks through these zones are normal, so only daily closes count here. This is the short-term companion to this week's Gold Weekly Map, linked below. Its bear trigger is a weekly close below 3,940 with 3,880 to 3,930 as target. That target zone was reached intraday today; tonight's weekly close decides whether the trigger counts. Not financial advice.
