October 30, 2009 - At 4:24 pm, an EF1 tornado touched down in Marion County near Thorn Hill, just south of the intersection of County Road 19 and Highway 129. The twister damaged several vehicles, the roofs of four homes, two barns and an utility building as well as destroying several trees.
