FTAI: Wedge Breakout Cleared for Takeoff β $280s again?FTAI Aviation Ltd.BATS:FTAIibraheeemzStory: π The Pattern β FTAI pulled back into the long-term rising trendline, where it met the base of a falling wedge and a strong support zone of $149 level. It bounced from that confluence and broke out of the wedge with a large gap higher, reclaiming the EMA20 and EMA50 in the process. β‘ The Confirmation β The breakout candle gapped over the upper wedge line, and volume has been building on the move. Price is now trading above the short-term moving averages. The gap and the EMA20 sit just below, which is where buyers would be expected to defend on a pullback. π― Levels to Watch SL: $145, below the trendline and the wedge low Retest / buy zone: $160β$170 (lower the better), the breakout area where the gap and EMA20 sit Resistance 1: $200, with the daily EMA200 just above it Resistance 2: $230 Stretch: $285, near where the wedge began 𧩠Trade Plan β Scale out 30-50% at $200. Move the stop to breakeven once $200 is tapped. Trail the remainder toward $230 and scale out further there. Let a small runner ride toward $285 if momentum holds. π§ The Read β This is a wedge breakout off long-term trendline support, with the best entry on a retest of the breakout area rather than a chase into resistance. The daily EMA200 and the $200 level sit close together overhead, so a clean close above both is what would turn the daily trend. Failure to hold the gap and EMA20 on a retest would send price back toward the wedge breakout line, and a break below $145 invalidates the setup. $285 is simply the prior swing high, which also lines up with where the wedge started, so itβs an objective that is common for this pattern but not guaranteed.
