My first ever app on the App Store just got a big update!

Wait 5 sec.

A little while ago, I launched my first iOS app called SnapShare. The idea came from something that kept annoying me. I take so many pictures that I don’t actually want to save. Things like receipts, random products, parking spots, or photos I just want to send to someone on WhatsApp or ask ChatGPT about. And then they just sit in my Photos app forever. So I built SnapShare. Basically, you take a picture → it's automatically copied → your selected app or the share sheet opens → you paste the photo and send it. All without cluttering your camera roll! And I just released a pretty big update with a few new features! 1. Home Screen Widgets This is probably my favorite addition. You can now add SnapShare widgets to your iPhone’s Home Screen and select which apps you want quick access to. The largest widget supports up to 16 apps! For example, let’s say you add WhatsApp, ChatGPT, Telegram, and a few others. You just tap the app icon on the widget → SnapShare opens the camera → you take a picture → your selected app opens → you paste the photo. That’s it. No need to open your Photos app or delete anything afterward. 2. Bulk Capture Mode You can now take multiple pictures in one session and share them all at once. Pretty useful when you want to send several photos without repeating the same process over and over again. 3. Auto-Delete Toggle I also added an optional auto-delete feature. Turn it on, and SnapShare will automatically delete your captured images after 7 days. Because the whole point of this app is to avoid collecting photos you don’t actually need forever. 4. Adjustable Flashlight Brightness Okay, this one wasn’t exactly a highly requested feature 😂 I just thought it would be cool if you could control how bright the flashlight is while taking pictures. So I added it. That’s pretty much the update! I’m still building and improving the app, and it’s honestly been really fun seeing all these little ideas turn into actual features. It’s my first ever app on the App Store, so there’s still a lot I’m learning along the way. You can check it out here: https://apps.apple.com/app/snapshare-one-tap-photo-send/id6817721584 Would genuinely love some feedback, especially on the widgets. And if there’s a feature you think would make this more useful, let me know! Also, a huge thanks to everyone who commented on my previous post! I genuinely appreciate all the feedback, suggestions, and ideas you shared. Some of them actually inspired parts of this update, and it’s really cool knowing people are taking the time to help me improve something I built. Thanks again, everyone! ❤️ submitted by /u/Live_Championship640 [link] [comments]
