Spurs Web has taken a look at how Roberto De Zerbi could set up his Tottenham XI against Crystal Palace this weekend as he faces several key selection decisions. After their 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Tottenham Hotspur now turn their attention to another London derby, this time against Crystal Palace. Saturday 31st October Premier League TottenhamTottenham17:30Crystal PalaceCrystal PalaceThe two sides head into this match-up in contrasting form. Palace have managed just one win in their last five Premier League matches, while Spurs have won two of their last five. When these sides met last season, both claimed a victory, with Tottenham winning 1-0 away from home before the Eagles secured a 3-1 triumph at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With this encounter taking place in N17, revenge will certainly be on Tottenham’s agenda as Roberto De Zerbi looks to make it three consecutive wins for Spurs. With that in mind, Spurs Web has attempted to predict how Tottenham could line up against their London rivals.Credit: @thefrederikkejensen / InstagramTottenham predicted XI vs Crystal PalaceGoalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky: Secured his third clean sheet against Chelsea, making several crucial saves while also looking composed with the ball at his feet. We expect him to continue in goal here.Right-back – Pedro Porro: Returned from injury last weekend after suffering a knock in the Aston Villa clash last month, albeit from the bench. This time, however, we expect him to start.Centre-back – Jan Paul van Hecke: He is beginning to form a really strong partnership with Micky van de Ven and was crucial in Tottenham’s build-up play against the Blues. We know De Zerbi trusts him and there is little reason for him to be benched given his current form.Centre-back – Micky van de Ven: Demonstrated against Chelsea just how comfortable he is in possession, linking up well with Kinsky and Van Hecke. He will certainly be aiming for back-to-back clean sheets.Left-back – Andy Robertson: Destiny Udogie continues to nurse a knee injury, meaning Robertson looks set to start once again.Centre midfield – Sandro Tonali: He is beginning to look like a £100 million player, with his last two displays against Coventry and Chelsea underlining his quality. We expect more of the same this weekend.Centre midfield – Mateus Fernandes: The midfielder produced his best performance yet in a Tottenham shirt against Chelsea, dominating both in and out of possession. We expect De Zerbi to stick with him here, especially with Rodrigo Bentancur suspended and Lucas Bergvall still battling fitness issues.Centre midfield – Conor Gallagher: James Maddison picked up an injury against Chelsea and could miss out here as we await a further update from De Zerbi. In his absence, we expect Gallagher to feature in the attacking midfield role, although there are other ways Spurs could look to replace Maddison.Right wing – Mohammed Kudus: The wide forward earned praise from De Zerbi following his display against Chelsea, with the Italian believing Kudus and Mathys Tel were the match-winners. He is finally building momentum after starting the last three games.Striker – Dominic Solanke: He was benched against Chelsea despite registering a goal and an assist across the Manchester United and Coventry matches. We expect him to return to the starting XI.Left wing – Omar Marmoush: Tel was superb against Chelsea and scored the match-winning goal. While he could easily start again, we think De Zerbi may opt for Marmoush on the left, allowing him to tuck inside against Palace’s back three while Robertson provides the width. It is a close call, however, and Tel could just as easily perform a similar role.READ MORE: ‘He has everything’ – Cristian Romero lauds Tottenham’s ‘incredible’ Micky van de VenThe post Tottenham predicted XI vs Crystal Palace as De Zerbi has to replace James Maddison appeared first on Spurs Web.
