I keep losing free resources from Instagram Reels—so I’m building Claimly. Would this actually help you?

Wait 5 sec.

I noticed a weird but annoying Instagram habit: Creators post Reels like: “Comment GUIDE and I’ll DM you the free template!” “Follow me and DM RESOURCE for the Notion dashboard.” So you comment, maybe follow, wait for the DM, receive a Google Drive/Notion link… and then forget about it. A week later, you remember you saved some resume template or Python cheat sheet, but you cannot remember: • Which Reel it came from • Which creator sent it • Whether you followed them • Whether the creator actually replied • Where the actual Drive/Notion link is I have a pile of saved Reels, screenshots, WhatsApp forwards, and random Drive links—and finding the right resource later is painful. So I’m building "Claimly", a simple AI-powered resource-claiming assistant: 1. Share an Instagram Reel to Claimly. 2. It extracts the creator, resource name, claim keyword, and whether following is required. 3. It gives you a guided claim flow: copy the keyword, open the creator profile if needed, open the Reel, then comment/DM yourself. 4. It tracks the claim: Queued → Claimed → Waiting → Received . 5. When you receive the resource, you share the link/screenshot/file back to Claimly. 6. Claimly saves it in a searchable library with tags like “Resume,” “Python,” “Notion,” creator name, and date. Important: it does "not" auto-follow, auto-comment, auto-DM, or read your Instagram inbox. You stay in control of the Instagram actions; Claimly handles the remembering, tracking, and organizing. *Questions I’d genuinely love feedback on:* 1. Do you actually save resources from Instagram Reels, or is this mostly a creator-side problem? 2. What annoys you more: remembering nd following too many creators, or finding the resource later? 3. Would you use a “claim inbox” that tracks pending resources nd help u to find your resources? 4. Would you prefer a mobile app, a web app, or an Instagram-adjacent tool? 5. What would make you delete/uninstall it? submitted by /u/KnownCup7546 [link] [comments]
