I turned my MacBook notch into a music controller

Wait 5 sec.

I got tired of reaching for the F-keys or switching windows just to skip a song while working. So I built Umak, a tiny macOS utility that turns the MacBook notch into a music controller. You can control Apple Music or Spotify right from the notch: Click to play / pause Two-finger swipe left or right to skip tracks Swipe up to bring your music player to the front That's pretty much the core idea. No main window, no Dock icon. Just a few gestures at the top of your screen. I also added a little something for fun: pull down from the notch and a vinyl record slides out. You can spin it to scrub through a song, or leave records and album covers scattered around your desktop. It's built entirely with Swift and AppKit, with zero dependencies. Lightweight, native, and open source. It also works on external monitors without a notch.
