I got tired of guessing how long my commute takes, so I built an Android app that times it by itself (India, looking for 100 testers)

Wait 5 sec.

A 45-minute commute each way adds up to roughly 14 full days a year on the road. Most people (me included) have no idea what their real number is, so I built MYCE. How it works: you set home and office once. The app uses geofencing to notice when you leave and when you arrive, then shows your weekly total and whether your commute is getting better or worse. There's no sign-up and everything stays on your phone. I avoided constant GPS polling to keep battery use low. I'm looking for commuters in Indian cities with 30+ minute commutes (metro, local train, bus, car, bike, cab, anything) to use it for 2 weeks and tell me honestly what's useful, what's annoying and what's missing. Testers who share feedback get Pro free for life. Limited to the first 100 testers (Play internal testing cap). If the install page says the app isn't available, the spots are full. To join (Android only, about 2 min): Join the tester group with the Gmail account on your phone: https://groups.google.com/g/myce-testers Accept the invite: https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4701569312294160575 Install from the Play Store I'm the solo developer, so it's a one-person project. submitted by /u/newrishav [link] [comments]
