hey r/SideProject! i've been building Slate, a small Windows writing app for Markdown notes, daily journals, and todos. the whole idea is basically: open a folder, write and save (amazing right? /s) no account no cloud database (i need to figure out a way to sync stuff without bullshit) no weird export step every note is just a normal .md file it has live Markdown preview, a file browser, full-text search, daily journal pages, todo files with priorities/states, themes, custom shortcuts, and Lua plugins. i built it in C++ with Dear ImGui, which was probably not the easiest route, but it has been really fun /s it's still early and definitely has some sharp edges, but it's finally at the point where I'd love feedback from people who actually use local notes.
