Every year I'd get my wife's and my plans and run the numbers to see which one would be the most cost efficient for us. Our insurance providers would always show which of their own plans was better, but they never had an option to compare against a completely different plan. It started as just never going to the doctor then prescriptions, HSA's, surgeries, pregnancies and kids. Those of you who have experienced what I'm talking about will definitely get it lol. Regardless, I got tired of doing it by hand and having to repeat it the next year, which led to Excel, and now I've turned my Excel sheet into a website. The idea is you put in both of your plans data and a guess at your medical costs, and it shows whether you're better off together on one plan, on separate plans, and which plan the kids should go on. I'm not a programmer, so I used AI to build the site. I've been working these numbers for years, so I knew what it needed to handle and how but If you see a result that looks off, please tell me. No login or account needed, and nothing you enter is stored on a server. It's only saved in your own browser. Any feedback y'all have to make it easier to use, I'd appreciate it. I really struggled between adding too much detail and keeping it simple. thisplanorthatone.com submitted by /u/Ok_Baker7016 [link] [comments]
