It’s the last week of October, Halloween Horror Nights is still going strong across the resort, and most theme park fans are focused on costumes, candy, and scares. So imagine my surprise when I walked into Epic Universe on Monday, October 26, and found the park already decked out for Christmas.Christmas decorations have been spread out across Epic Universe, from the entryways of the park all the way through Celestial Park and into How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. Even other portals are getting into the holiday spirit, including Dark Universe, where Krampus merchandise was on display. Walking through the park and seeing everything dressed up for the holidays, with Halloween not even over yet, was honestly a little shocking. This marks the second holiday season for Epic Universe, and it’s already clear that Universal is going much bigger this time around. Last year, the Christmas celebration at Epic Universe wasn’t nearly as involved. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic stood out with its holiday decor, but there wasn’t much else around the park. This year, the festive touches are spreading into more areas, and Universal has already confirmed several major additions for 2026.Here’s what I saw during my visit and what guests can expect from Christmas at Epic Universe this year.Credit: Erica Lauren, Inside the MagicChristmas Has Arrived Early at Epic UniverseFrom the moment you enter Epic Universe, the holiday season is hard to miss. Decorations start at the park’s entryways and continue into Celestial Park, the central hub that connects guests to all of the park’s themed worlds.Credit: Erica Lauren, Inside the MagicFrom there, the festive touches carry over into Isle of Berk, and other portals are joining in too. In Dark Universe, Krampus merchandise is already on display, which feels like a perfect fit for a land built around classic monsters. It’s a fun reminder that not every holiday celebration has to be merry and bright.Universal Orlando Resort’s official holiday season doesn’t begin until November 14, so these early sightings give guests a sneak peek at what’s coming. With decorations already in place, the park is clearly getting ready for a much larger celebration than last year.Last Year’s Christmas Was Much Smaller at Epic UniverseEpic Universe welcomed its first Christmas season in 2025, and while there were some festive moments, the celebration felt limited. Most of the standout holiday decor was found in the Ministry of Magic area, and much of the rest of the park didn’t get the same treatment. That’s what makes this year’s early decorations so noticeable. Seeing holiday touches spread throughout the park, instead of concentrated in one area, already makes Epic Universe feel like a bigger part of Universal Orlando Resort’s Christmas celebration.SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Gets Its First Christmas DecorationsOne of the biggest confirmed additions for 2026 is coming to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. For the first time, Universal is adding official Christmas decorations throughout the land.Guests can expect seasonal touches that blend into the colorful world of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and other Nintendo favorites. Universal has also confirmed themed food offerings, giving fans another reason to stop by during the holiday season.Credit: Erica Lauren, Inside the MagicSUPER NINTENDO WORLD already includes some of Epic Universe’s most recognizable environments, like Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country, so seeing them with a holiday twist should be a treat.Isle of Berk Celebrates Snoggletog at Epic UniverseOver in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Universal is going all out with an expanded celebration inspired by Snoggletog, the Viking holiday from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise.Credit: Erica Lauren, Inside the MagicThis year, the land is getting its first full collection of Snoggletog-themed decorations.
