SOL | Buyers Defend Support, Can the Recovery Hold?SOL / TetherUSBINANCE:SOLUSDTMaia_CryptoFXSOL bounced from 99.50 and is approaching 103.00 again. Buyers are still defending the lower end of the range, which is encouraging. But with resistance so close, I want to see whether they can hold a breakout this time. The broader market has a mixed backdrop. On October 28, the Fed kept rates at 3.75–4.00%, while two members preferred another increase. Inflation remains a concern. To me, that gives little reason to expect easier money to support a strong crypto rally just yet. Federal Reserve There is still buying interest in Bitcoin. US Bitcoin ETFs recorded around $424 million in net inflows across October 26–28. That is encouraging, but demand for Bitcoin doesn’t automatically spread to altcoins. Farside Investors Solana’s ETF figures show the difference. Over those same three sessions, US SOL ETFs recorded roughly $33 million in net outflows. These funds represent only part of the market, but the direction of the flows makes me cautious about treating this bounce as a lasting recovery. For Solana itself, Alpenglow remains an important positive. The upgrade went live on October 21 and targets transaction settlement in about 0.15 seconds. In simple terms, payments and trading apps can get a final result much faster. That improves what the network can offer users and developers. Still, a faster network alone won’t reverse the price. I’d like to see that progress followed by sustained use and stronger demand for SOL. Right now, the technology is improving, while recent ETF flows suggest some investors are still reducing exposure. On the chart, 99.50 has attracted buyers several times. The latest rebound is strong, but 103.00 has also rejected recent attempts to recover. For now, I’m treating this as a bounce inside the range. A break above 103.00 that holds on a pullback would make me more interested in a long. Another rejection would keep a return to 99.50 in play. If that support breaks and buyers fail to reclaim it, I’d step back from the recovery scenario. ❗This setup is for educational purposes and reflects how I'm navigating the market, not a financial recommendation.
