I’m building an app that takes my sketches all the way to a 3D model

Wait 5 sec.

I’m building an app called Firstform At some point I realised it would be really nice to just sketch, and have Al help me finish the drawing or show me my character from different sides. I’m also learning to sculpt in Blender, so I wanted everything in one place: sketch, concept, turnaround, design sheet, 3D model. Here are some results from my sketch. The Al kept adding a lower jaw, so I removed it with a lasso edit right in the app, and after few more changes the 3D model came out exactly as I drew it. It can also run local Al models (the setup checks your Mac and suggests what fits). My Mac isn’t powerful enough for the best models, so I use Gemini (images) and Tripo (3D) through my own API keys. Those are optional. It’s still early and I’m planning more features, but it already does a pretty good job. Would anyone like to try it in the future and give me feedback? submitted by /u/Remarkable_Chip_2717 to r/SideProject [link] [comments]
