Man wanted in POCSO case ends life in Salem - The HinduUpdated - October 29, 2026 10:43 pm IST - SalemA man who was wanted in a case booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act ended his life in Salem on Wednesday (October 28, 2026).The deceased, V. Venkatasubramanian (31), a resident of Malliyakarai near Attur, was a car driver. On October 26, the Attur All Women’s Police registered a case against him under the POCSO Act for sexually assaulting a minor girl and were on lookout for him. Meanwhile, on Tuesday night (October 27, 2026), he attempted to end his life and was admitted to the Salem Government Hospital. There, in the early hours of Wednesday, he died.
