All the 180 Philately Passports for Madurai Philatelic Bureau at the Head Post Office were sold out.Philatelists and travel enthusiasts made a beeline for the Philatelic Bureau. People were on the office doorsteps as early as 9 a.m. to purchase the Philately Passport which was priced at ₹650 per copy. It features information about 58 permanent pictorial cancellations (PPCs) highlighting heritage sites and landmarks across Tamil Nadu.Many people who had turned up at the Madurai Philatelic Bureau on Thursday were disappointed to learn that the Philately Passports had been sold out. However, taking into account the overwhelming response from the public, the officials asked them to leave their contact number on a register so that they could be alerted when the next batch was out.Senior Post Master S.
