Hi everyone, It’s been five long months since the last update, and to say a lot has changed would be a massive understatement. First off, I need to send a huge shoutout to the absolute legends who bought me a coffee along the way, Himoty, Laura, Alexandra, and a few others. You have no idea how much those coffees mean when you're head-down in code building www.sporttime.live. Thank you, truly. Stepped Back for a Bit: If things felt a bit quiet on the feature-development front recently, there’s a good reason for it. I had to step away from active work on the site for a couple of months. My day job went through a brutal rough patch, slashing roles left and right and making people redundant for no obvious reason. I was one of the lucky ones who kept their job, but watching so many great colleagues get cut takes a real toll, and keeping the lights on at work had to take priority for a while. Not because I developed this on working time, because I don't, I always keep my personal projects separate and truly in my time off work, but because the energy during this period was just gone. It's strange how things like this can affect you!! 40,000 Monthly Active Users (Wait, What?!) Despite the development pause, www.sporttime.live didn't just stay afloat, it actually grew the userbase! We’ve officially hit 40,000 average monthly active users, not once but two months in a row. Not bad for a sports guide running off a tiny, overachieving Pi-sized box that somehow refuses to melt under the pressure! When I built www.sporttime.live, the goal was simple: solve the headache of finding live sports TV and where to see it listings fast. Seeing tens of thousands of sports fans rely on it every month proves that a simple, lightweight layout focused on quick answers is exactly what we were all missing. A Cleaner UI & Smarter Data Formulas I’ve rolled out a few key updates in the last couple of days: More Streamlined UI: I’ve trimmed down the visual layout. It’s now much sleeker, giving you maximum screen real estate to see even more upcoming kickoffs, fixtures, and events at a glance without endless scrolling. Smarter Formulas for Tennis, Cricket, and Golf: I’ve reworked how we handle sports with messy broadcast data. Take tennis, for example: instead of cluttering the page with individual player matchups (which get messy when channels just list "Day 3 Coverage"), we now focuses on the main event, getting you straight to the information you need, like what channels broadcast Wimbledon or the Australian Open. It’s cleaner, far more reliable, and cuts out the noise. The Mobile Client is on the Agenda The mobile client is officially on the agenda, and a rough plan forward is being worked on. This will be a massive milestone for the site, a native app means I can finally deliver proper, instant push notifications and interest-based alerts for your favorite teams and sports etc.. Since I’m a one-man team, I'm taking it one step at a time, but the blueprint is coming together. Beyond that, the core promise of www.sporttime.live stays identical to day one: lightning-fast load times and a strict focus on the next 48 hours. Head over to www.sporttime.live to check out the new layout and updates. Thanks again for following along and using the site, it’s what keeps this whole project going. And as always, don't forget to send over feedback or feature ideas, or even buy me a coffee if you like, to be honest, every bit of support helps keep the lights on and the code flowing. See you at the next update! submitted by /u/SingleFeeling1063 [link] [comments]
