They have PALAMON here and this 6yo didn’t get the best trip when second to Tapley at Plumpton. He won easily before that and has more to come so has found a good opportunity here to resume winning ways.Tanking Along arrives with confidence high having won his last two and while this is tougher he is versatile regarding the ground and looks the danger. Kahavari made the breakthrough on final start last season and despite lacking a run is another one to note. Bet on PALAMON to win at 3/1 with BetVictor Ascot 1.25 Ascot Underwriting Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Class 3 2m3fJet To Vegas impressed winning at Market Rasen on return last month. He can step forward from that and run well again but I do prefer DANCE AND GLANCE for Anthony Honeyball. This horse was progressive over hurdles and should have a bright future now sent over fences. The Gray Ghost has a run under his belt so shouldn’t be easily discounted and Glynn Brae would also have claims if managing to avoid errors. Merely A Detail is the rank outsider and does look to be up against it as was well held at Worcester last month. Bet on DANCE AND GLANCE to win at 5/2 with BoyleSports Wetherby 1.45 bet365 Montagu Mares’ Hurdle (Listed Race) (GBB Race) Class 1 2mTalented mare KATEIRA absolutely bolted up in this last year thrashing previous Champion Hurdle winner Golden Ace.She is a horse to catch when fresh and with the yard going great guns I’m struggling to see too many weaknesses. She made all last year but has taken a lead before so if Ooh Betty goes hard that could play to her strengths as well.La Conquiere lost her way towards the end of last season but is another one that goes well fresh and she could emerge as the danger. Watamu is on a hat-trick and did impress landing a gamble at Stratford so while this is tougher has a squeak as well. Bet on KATEIRA to win at 11/10 with Paddy Power Ascot 2.00 Sodexo Live! Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Class 2 2m1fI know Ben Pauling is struggling for form but VANDERPOEL could still take a lot of beating here. He was impressive winning at Ascot and Sandown over fences last season and has had a wind op ahead of his return here. He should improve again this season and if fit and ready to roll will go close off this mark.Haas Boy is down the bottom of the weights and while he was denied the hat-trick at Chepstow he was only beaten a neck and should improve from that. Martator won this a couple of years ago and if putting his best foot forward would be another one likely to get involved. Bet on VANDERPOEL each way at 9/2 with talkSPORT BET Wetherby 2.18 bet365 Hurdle (Grade 2) (GBB Race) Class 1 3mStrong Leader just about got the better of TAKE NO CHANCES in this 12 months ago but I’m backing the latter to gain her revenge this time around. She is a year younger and is admirably consistent and with the yard going so well I just think she might hold the edge this time. Strong Leader also lost his way towards the end of last season and might just need this run for confidence.Paggane and Lavida Adiva complete the field and both are talented and capable of landing a blow but I do think the market principals will battle this out in a repeat of last year. Bet on TAKE NO CHANCES to win at 11/8 with BetVictor Ascot 2.33 Sodexo Live! Regal Encore Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap) (GBB Race) Class 1 3mThis track should suit CALIFET EN VOL and with more to come over fences this season he is fancied to make a winning return. He only won once last season but ran well in defeat at Cheltenham a couple of times and leaves the impression there is a bigger performance in him. This looks a good starting point and I think he’ll go close despite the yard being a little quiet.Your Darling certainly isn’t getting any younger being an 11yo now but he has won fresh in the past and could run well here. Queensbury Boy was in winning form when last seen and is another one who would have solid claims. Bet on CALIFET EN VOL each way at 4/1 with BoyleSports Wetherby 2.55 bet365 Charlie Hall Chase (Grade 2) (GBB Race) Class 1 3mI have a feeling Pic D’orhy is regressing now so at a short price he is definitely worth opposing. THE REAL WHACKER finally found himself back in the winners enclosure at Perth last month and if he builds on that he could be a bit of value to come out on top here.He has been a frustrating horse for connections but with just five rivals to beat here this could be a nice pot to pick up with him.Handstands was pulled up at Cheltenham but his early season form was decent and if bouncing back on return could run well. Again the yard form is a bit concerning though. Twinjets could run a big race despite lacking a run as this would have been the early season target. Bet on THE REAL WHACKER to win at 9/2 with Betfred Down Royal 3.15 BetVictor, Remembering Envoi Allen Champion Chase (Grade 1) 3mHenry de Bromhead won this race for three of the last four years with the legend that was Envoi Allen. He has HEART WOOD now who could prove tough to beat.He was obviously seriously impressive beating Jonbon in the Ryanair at Cheltenham and with no problems going up to three miles here should have a great chance to make a winning return.Romeo Coolio is seriously talented also and looks the danger for Gordon Elliott. He hacked up fresh 12 months ago and should make a race of it. Haiti Couleurs can go well fresh too but this is likely a stepping stone for him. Banbridge is also noted but would want the rain to stay away and Affordale Fury isn’t discounted either. Bet on HEART WOOD to win at 11/4 with bet365 Wetherby 3.30 Each Way Extra At bet365 Handicap Hurdle Class 3 2mAll four have a chance in this but like the market is suggesting RACE TO BASE does look the one to beat. He bumped into Cosmic Connection on final start at Sandown and looks capable of improving again this season. He is still largely unexposed and with this track likely to suit can justify favouritism.Filibustering was well held at Chepstow but this is much more manageable and if bouncing back could threaten most. Klitschko bumped into Williethebuilder at Sedgefield last time and that is decent form so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him get seriously competitive also. Bet on RACE TO BASE to win at 6/5 with talkSPORT BET Ascot 3.43 Lavazza Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) Class 2 1m71/2fA wide open renewal of the Lavazza Handicap Hurdle to conclude from Ascot and WILLIETHEBUILDER gets a tentative vote for Christian Williams. This 7yo carries top-weight but that is with good reason as he bolted up at Sedgefield on return and is clearly a horse thriving right now. He is 6lb higher but 3lb claimer Toby McCain-Mitchell maintains the partnership and he should run a big race again.Moveit Like Minnie bumped into the progressive Mr Mcloughlan at Hexham on return and if building on that again could be the danger with Nico de Boinville booked. Nap Hand has won two of his last three and impressed at Plumpton last time so at a double-figure price is another one who could get involved. Bet on WILLIETHEBUILDER each way at 5/1 with bet365 My top tip for ITV Racing on SaturdayNo surprise both my best bets on Saturday are trained by Dan Skelton. KATEIRA won this race 12 months ago and the yard have won four of the last five renewals so she should be tough to beat. TAKE NO CHANCES also has more to offer this season and can dethrone the tough and likeable Strong Leader in the bet365 Hurdle. Bet a Win Double on KATEIRA and TAKE NO CHANCES at 4/1 with bet365 About the authorJoe NorrisI’m Joe Norris, co-founder and Director of GetYourTipsOut (GYTO), which I launched in 2009 to provide daily sports betting tips, with the main focus on horse racing.
