You won’t want to miss a second of the action available on Saturday, as we have excellent racing on offer throughout the afternoon and top-drawer international entertainment taking place in the US, providing Europeans with some evening excitement. Here we preview Saturday’s racing, with particular emphasis on the best races on the agenda.talkSPORT BET Betting Offer – Bet £10 and get up to £30 – CLAIM HERE*Competitive racing on offer at AscotAscot’s seven-race jumps card features a £100,000 handicap chase and £60,000 handicap hurdle, both of which should be fiercely competitive. The big handicap chase has attracted a field of 12 and among them is Grand Annual winner Martator, who won this race in 2024.Ben Pauling’s Vanderpoel is also likely to be popular in the betting, as he was a progressive novice last term, who won over course and distance. There’s more to come from him this term. Gore Point has won five of his last six and improvement can’t be ruled out. There are four last time out winners among the field for the Lavazza Handicap Hurdle and Christian Williams’ Williethebuilder is arguably the most proven. He won a Class 3 at Sedgefield with plenty in hand last time and Toby McCain-Mitchell takes 3lb off once again.Wetherby’s big dayThe first race of note at Wetherby is the Listed Montagu Mares’ Hurdle, which looks like a penalty kick for last year’s victor Kateira.Next up is the Grade 2 bet365 Hurdle and it’s hard to look past Olly Murphy’s Strong Leader, who got the better of Take No Chances last year.Wetherby’s biggest race of the season is the Grade 2 Charlie Hall Chase, although it’s not quite as prestigious as it once was. Dan Skelton’s Pic d’Orhy was second last year and looks well set to go one better, as this year’s renewal doesn’t appear to be the strongest.Handstands has ability but needs to prove himself over this trip, while The Real Whacker won this two years ago but isn’t quite as good as he once was. Hitman can run well, although he doesn’t win often and the progressive Twinjets is interesting.Grade 1 action at Down RoyalThe BetVictor Champion Chase will be run in memory of Envoi Allen this year, who won three of the last four renewals of the race. Ryanair Chase winner Heart Wood hasn’t quite proved himself over three miles at the top level and Romeo Coolio is of obvious interest.Affordable Fury and Banbridge can’t be ruled out, while British raider Haiti Couleurs brings a high level of form to the table. Don’t miss the Grade 2 Racing Post Chase either, as Aintree Festival Grade 1 novice chase winner Koktail Divin is set to make his reappearance. The Breeders’ Cup at KeenelandWesley Ward’s Nunthorpe Stakes winner Bacio heads the field in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint but Donnacha O’Brien’s Comanche Brave is likely to provide stiff competition. British and Irish runners dominate the betting for the Filly & Mare Turf, with Blue Bolt and Precise.Aidan O’Brien’s runners both have terrible draws in the Breeders’Cup Mile, but there will be no excuses for big favourite Notable Speech, who represents the Charlie Appleby yard. Diamond Necklace is the one to beat in the Turf on form but has a bad draw to overcome. The US and Japan clash in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, which is worth more than £5 million and Forever Young will take on Sovereignty, who won two of the three legs of the US Triple Crown as a three-year-old last season.talkSPORT BET Betting Offer – Bet £10 and get up to £30 – CLAIM HERE*All odds correct at time of writing.Remember to gamble responsiblyA responsible gambler is someone who:Establishes time and monetary limits before playingOnly gambles with money they can afford to loseNever chase their lossesDoesn’t gamble if they’re upset, angry or depressedGamcare – www.gamcare.org.ukFind our detailed guide on responsible gambling practices here. For help with a gambling problem, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 or go to www.gamstop.co.uk to be excluded from all UK-regulated gambling websites.*18+ New customers only.
