I’ve been the AP in training for 9 months. I was the candidate when I was still a KL. I’m the only manager that closes without another manager. I’ve ran the store multiple times when my GM has gone on vacation. Im in the AP meetings for our patch. I’m in charge of training, DML, I make sure cleaning is done, I do the interviews and hiring, I’ve pushed through promotions, I do every single inventory count. I already work nearly 50 hours because I have to come in early to make the schedule and make the monthly business review. And I’m paid less than all the other SL and all my GM says is it only makes sense because they were promoted before I was. I believe it isn’t fair for me to do the job of the AP while barely making enough to survive because I’m making the near minimum of an SL for the store. Just being told by my gm that I just got the 6 month performance raise so I don’t need another raise. I’m extremely close to just finding another job at this point because I feel like everything I do won’t get me anywhere. Especially being told that every store will have an AP by the end of next year. That’s a whole year of doing more than an actual AP is supposed to do. Being told by my gm he’s giving me gm responsibilities so I can know what I’m getting into. I don’t mind doing everything I do. But the constant me only making 30 cents more than the starting pay of an SL is really making me not want to be here anymore. submitted by /u/Adorable_Candle9351 [link] [comments]
