I'm Harri, I make Dram, a fragrance diary for iOS. I shared it here a couple of weeks ago; this time I have one specific design problem I'd love outside eyes on. The whole app depends on a tiny daily habit: you tap the bottle you sprayed that morning. Over time that wear log shows you what you actually reach for vs. what just sits on the shelf. Someone with Dior Sauvage, Tom Ford Oud Wood and Maison Margiela Replica By the Fireplace might find out they've worn Sauvage 20 times and Oud Wood once. That only works if people keep logging. What's in the app today: - a shelf of the bottles you own - the wear log (what you sprayed, when) - Today's Pick, a suggestion for the morning "what do I wear" moment - free for up to 5 bottles It doesn't measure longevity. It's a diary, not a lab tool. The tension I'm stuck on: a diary is useless with gaps, but daily reminders feel naggy fast, and nobody wants a notification about perfume. Questions for anyone who's built (or quit) a habit/logging app: Did a morning prompt tied to an existing moment (getting dressed) beat a generic daily reminder for you? Should a missed day be silent, or worth a gentle "want to fill in yesterday?" What made you personally stop using a tracker app? Friction, guilt, or just forgetting?
