The Supreme Court has instructed the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to create enforcement measures. These measures aim to prevent unauthorised sharing of live-stream court recordings. The court is hearing a PIL focused on exploitation of such recordings on digital platforms. Suggestions for official recordings to be authenticated through digital means were discussed during the hearing.
