Day shift nurses, what is your go to response when night shift tells you it was a quiet night right before chaos hits?

Wait 5 sec.

Without fail, whenever sign-out includes super easy night, nothing happened, the first hour of my shift is an absolute disaster. Pt in room 4 pulls their IV, cardiac monitor starts throwing lethal-looking artifact, and pharmacy hasn't sent up any morning med predilutions. Is it just an unspoken jinx at this point, or are we all just cursed to never utter the "Q" word near a nurses' station? submitted by /u/sherikuta [link] [comments]
