I built an iOS app that organizes real-life „cases“ instead of files – with on-device AI that reads your letters

Wait 5 sec.

I've been building an app called Aktenverwaltung (German for "case file management"). Sharing it here in case it's useful to anyone dealing with stuff like insurance claims, landlord issues or government paperwork. The idea: most apps just store documents in folders. But the document itself is rarely the point. What matters is the context: the last reply, the next deadline, who's involved, what was said on the phone. So the app bundles everything into a case with its own reference number, status, people involved, deadlines and a full timeline. Scanning works with an on-device AI model: it reads the letter and fills in date, sender, reference number and subject automatically. Everything is processed directly on your iPhone, no document ever leaves your device. Other things it does: - Scan straight into a case with the camera - Deadlines on each case with two-stage reminders - Log phone calls and notes in the same timeline as letters and emails - Write letters inside the app with your signature and export as PDF - Profiles if you handle things for family members - Export a complete case as a ZIP - Local-first, optional sync via your own iCloud Free, no ads, iPhone and iPad. A Mac app is coming with version 3.0 at the end of the year.
