INTC After the 29% Drop $80 Retest Short PlanIntel CorporationBATS:INTCAlawan11 Intel (INTC) beat Q3 estimates, but the stock still collapsed on its guidance. It closed Oct 30 at $65.12, down 29.27%, the largest single-session move among 380 tracked names. The setup below is a conditional 1H/4H short on a retest, with a reward-to-risk ratio of about 1:2.7. FUNDAMENTAL OUTLOOK: BEARISH BIAS As of Oct 13, INTC was up about 175% year to date, trading near 60x forward earnings with a beta above 2. It had already slid about 20% from its Sept 24 close of $127.39. Q3 revenue of $16.51B (+20.9% YoY) and adjusted EPS of $0.52 both beat consensus, but the Q4 revenue guide midpoint of $15.5B and EPS guide of $0.25 came in far below consensus. The CFO said the Q4 forecast includes a hit of about $300M to revenue and 200 bps to gross margin from a shutdown. Reports also point to PC weakness and rising memory costs. The sell-off spread beyond Intel. Dell fell about 13% and AMD about 10% on the same day. That suggests investors are losing patience with expensive AI spending, which is a poor backdrop for a quick recovery. TECHNICAL ANALYSIS (1H/4H) → Lower highs from the $127 top, then a break of the $84.96 support (the blue line) on the Oct 30 gap. → The $92 stop and the $84.96 floor both failed. A close back above $85.50 would break the bearish read. → Resistance is $76–$85, where broken support should flip to supply. The Oct 30 close of $65.12 is the nearest reference below. The 52-week low is $32.89, so there is no major visible support below the current price. TRADE PLAN Asset: INTC (NASDAQ) Direction: Bearish/Short, conditional on a relief bounce Timeframe: 1H/4H ENTRY: 80.00 STOP LOSS: 85.50 TAKE PROFIT: 65.00 REWARD-TO-RISK RATIO: 1:2.7 After a 29% gap, price often bounces first. If it rallies into $76–$85 and gets rejected with bearish 1H/4H candles, it can slide back toward $65. For me, flexibility is one of the biggest advantages of holding tokenized stocks. A stock that moves 29% overnight shows why having more options matters. On Bitget, I can do more than just hold eligible rTokens. I can earn APR through Buy Low and Sell High strategies, use eligible rTokens as margin, or borrow USDT against them without immediately selling my holdings. There's also an extra incentive a first eligible transfer of $5,000 comes with a $200 rSPCX reward, with the campaign running until November 18. I like the idea of having more ways to manage my assets while keeping them productive. Of course, borrowing and leverage come with additional risks, so risk management remains important. Alternative Plan if 4H close above $85.50, or a reclaim of the Oct 29 close at $92.07, cancels the short. Don’t chase a short near $65; wait for the retest. This is analysis, not financial advice.
