I made a plugin that turns your notes into a universe, with 1.1 quadrillion possible planets

Wait 5 sec.

I’ve been working on a plugin for Obsidian, the note-taking app, that turns your notes into a universe. Every folder becomes a star, and every note becomes a planet orbiting it. Folders whose notes link to each other drift closer together, so the universe ends up shaped like how your notes connect. Every planet is generated from its note’s name, so no two are alike and each note always keeps the same one. There are about 1.1 quadrillion possible planets and 1,216 kinds of sun, including 216 black holes. They’re built from 15 kinds of world, 450 color palettes and 93 surface patterns, plus clouds, storms, rings and moons. Hover a planet and it tells you how rare yours is. Every now and then a note even lands on a real planet like Saturn, or J1407b with its ridiculous rings. Try it in your browser, no install needed: https://unscathering.github.io/Planetarium/ GitHub: https://github.com/Unscathering/Planetarium It’s free and open source. I’d love to hear what you think, and what the rarest planet you find is. submitted by /u/noscopejedi07 [link] [comments]
