Nursing student in Finland here, planning to specialize in psych and maybe move abroad later (Nordics/US). I'm wondering about the future of the specialty: Do you think psych nursing will shrink or even disappear as a specialty in the next 10–20 years? If so, is it mainly about funding? Are psych roles being merged into general or ER nursing where you work? How do you see AI affecting psych nursing: a threat, a tool, or a non-issue?
