During the past few months I haven’t touched my PS5 Pro, that’s why it’s still on firmware V.13.42 or V.13.60. Given how easy it is to jailbreak the PS5 Pro, I’m tempted to do so. But sometimes I like to play Fortnite online. Is there a way to keep my console on its current firmware, completely blocking the updates, and still reboot the PS5 Pro and start playing Fortnite? Is it there a balance between it or I’m risking being banned (me and my account) by PlayStation if they detect something? Would you remove the main PSN account (where I’ve invested many years and money on digital games), and use a new account on the PS5 I’m going to Jailbreak, just in case? Will I be able to use my usual Epic account for Fortnite, or should also create an alternative one? In theory, once you reboot the console it comes back to its normal state… could still SONY detect what’s happened before the reboot? Any additional caution? And, most importantly: Does Epic require you to have your PS5 firmware updated to the latest version in order to play online? If that’s the case, maybe it’s time to consider another machine to play Fortnite. Maybe my Intel N150 mini PC is enough to move Fortnite… Thank you all. submitted by /u/CautiousXperimentor [link] [comments]
