I built a notes app. Now I'm building a way for people to keep the notes app they already love.

Wait 5 sec.

Slightly awkward realization as an app developer: People don't necessarily want another notes app. I built ClingNote because I was tired of opening old files and having absolutely no idea what I was doing the last time I touched them. It automatically recalls notes attached to whatever you're working on. And it works! The Windows app is live. But then I started thinking... What if people could have that functionality without abandoning Obsidian, where they've already spent years building their notes? So that's what I'm working on now. An Obsidian plugin that brings ClingNote's context-following functionality to existing notes. Turns out the most interesting part of my notes app might not actually be the notes app. https://clingnote.com Anyone else build something and eventually realize its best feature could become a product of its own? submitted by /u/Pickletickle_ [link] [comments]
