Hi everyone! I'm one of the founders of an online learning platform focused on the International Baccalaureate (IB). Over the last year, we've re-built the platform from scratch, reached 50,000+ students, generated approximately $15,000 in subscription revenue, and signed partnerships with tutoring agencies that are now using our technology. We've developed the technical side extensively: question banks, learning resources, student management, progress tracking, AI integrations, payment systems, and the infrastructure needed to support a growing learning platform. But there's one thing we're missing, mainly more great educators. We're a small team, and while we've made significant progress, we believe the platform could become much more useful with the involvement of experienced IB teachers and tutors. That's why we're looking for experienced IB educators who would be interested in becoming long-term collaborators rather than simply working as freelancers. What we're looking for Ideally, you're an experienced IB teacher, examiner, or tutor with extensive knowledge of your subject and curriculum. You might already be creating your own: Practice questions and worked solutions Revision notes and study guides Educational videos Mock exams and topic assessments Other IB learning resources We're particularly interested in people who already enjoy creating educational content and would like to see it reach a much larger audience. What we're offering We're not looking to hire people on traditional hourly contracts. Instead, we want to share future platform revenue with the educators who help us build it. We're open to discussing revenue-sharing arrangements, long-term partnerships, and equity participation for individuals who become particularly involved in the project's development. Of course, our subscription revenue is currently modest, and any revenue-sharing income would likely be small initially. This is not an opportunity for someone looking for substantial immediate compensation. However, unlike starting a platform from zero, we'd be building on something that already exists, has tens of thousands of users, established infrastructure, paying customers, and institutional partnerships. Where we're going Our longer-term ambition is to move beyond traditional question banks and revision materials. We're working towards a more personalized, data-driven learning platform that can understand students' strengths and weaknesses, track their progress, and eventually recommend what they should study next to maximize their exam performance. We want to build this with people who genuinely understand IB education. Our main goal is to not build another AI slop, because there's plenty of that out there. Interested? If you're an experienced IB educator, enjoy creating educational content, and would like to be involved in building something long-term, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to comment or send me a DM with your subject, experience, and what kind of contribution you'd be interested in making. Happy to share more about the platform, our traction, and how a potential collaboration could work. Thanks! submitted by /u/luna_lu45 [link] [comments]
