I wanted to hide my follower and following lists while continuing to use the regular Instagram app, so I built an open-source command-line tool to do it. I tested the hide setting on my own account and checked the result from another account. The tool can also turn the setting back off. It uses an unofficial Instagram interface, which may change or cause account restrictions. The second option—hiding your account from other people’s lists—has not been verified yet.
