Don’t Rush to Sell GBPAUD at Current LevelsBRITISH POUND / AUSTRALIAN DOLLARFX_IDC:GBPAUDDamonEdgeGBPAUD is still maintaining a bearish structure on the H1 chart, but price has now pulled back into an important support area around 1.8865–1.8890. This is no longer an attractive area to keep chasing the downside. Instead, it is a zone where the market may begin to stabilize and form a technical rebound before the broader trend resumes. From a fundamental perspective, the AUD remains supported by persistent inflation pressure and expectations that the RBA will maintain a relatively hawkish stance. At the same time, the GBP has not shown clear weakness, with UK inflation still elevated and the BoE having limited room to ease policy aggressively. That balance could help GBPAUD find some short-term stability after the recent decline. On the chart, price is reacting just above 1.8865 while the short-term selling pressure is beginning to slow. After a sequence of lower lows, holding this support area would increase the chances of a recovery toward 1.8950, where selling pressure may start to return. As long as 1.8865 continues to hold, I still favor the possibility of a rebound before reassessing the broader trend. With price already trading deep into support, watching for a buyer reaction makes more sense than continuing to sell at current levels.
