I'm not gonna tell a business to do free shit for influencers, but I do know of a youtuber who had 5000 subscribers who reached out to Funko to ask to do a collab and Funko was like "sure" and sent her some actual products (not just like stickers). You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Now that said I do think "give me free" for specific location-based things are extremely stupid. By my estimation half *at most* of someone's followers are actively watching each video/post, and it's more in the ballpark of around 10% most of the time. And you figure like 10% of that 10% are people who would CONSIDER paying money for stuff, and then 1% of that 10% WILL spend money. But when it comes to stuff like restaurants, bed and breakfasts, even stuff like museums or tourist attractions, the wrench gets thrown in that some people simply will not ever be able to go spend money there. If it's an online product then okay, the vast majority of viewers at least have access to the thing to spend money. But if it's just some random B&B somewhere? Am I ever going to want to travel 1500 miles away just to stay there? No. It'll be helpful for people who are actually in the area, and maybe it actually WOULD help the business... but why risk it?
