I build Pathista alone, mostly in Claude Code. My release process (plan, tests, review, merge) was written in CLAUDE.md and Claude still skipped a step now and then, or said done when the tests had not run. Adding more lines to CLAUDE.md did not help. So I built an MCP server that keeps the process outside the chat. You describe the workflow once, as steps and the paths between them. When you start a run, the agent only sees the current step. A step can have todos that close only with evidence, like a test result or a link. If review sends the work back, the run goes back to the earlier step. The run is stored on the server, so the next session picks up where the last one stopped. I use it every day for my own development and for the marketing routine of this project, which is 13 steps from reading yesterday's numbers to scheduling posts. It works in Claude, ChatGPT and Codex. I still can't explain it well in one sentence. If you repeat a process with an agent, I'd like to hear whether this makes sense to you or where it would break. submitted by /u/Legitimate_Chest_650 [link] [comments]
