I'm a marketer in Hawaii. Every freelance platform I tried worked the same way: pay to be seen, then get buried under people who pay more. And clients still couldn't tell who was actually good. So I built marketers.website. Here's how it works: Other marketers rate the work, and that rating sets the ranking. Businesses browse the ranking and message people for free before they hire. Joining is free. When a hire happens, there's a 10% platform fee, shown before anyone commits. The client's payment is held in escrow through Stripe and released to the marketer once the work is approved. Being honest about where it stands: it's live, but the board is tiny. Right now it's mostly me and a couple of early profiles. I'm trying to get it to 10 real marketers with real work before I bring in businesses. What I'd love feedback on: As a marketer, would peer ratings make you trust the ranking more, or would you worry about people gaming it? Is 10% on the hire fair compared with what you pay elsewhere? What would stop you from uploading a campaign? Built with Next.js and Stripe. Happy to answer anything about how I built it. submitted by /u/bumbai1 [link] [comments]
