I relaunched my browser game this morning as a world simulator: you build a world on the real Earth (any year from Rome in 117 to 2100) and AI nations fight over it for a century. Try it free at https://secondstrike.io I log what people do (no accounts, no personal data, just how long a world runs and which buttons get pressed). Day one: - 43 people started about 97 worlds - most tried 2 or 3 presets for 10 to 40 seconds each and left - about 8 stayed past 3 minutes - the ones who found god mode (tap a nation, give it gold, start a war) stayed 3 to 4 times longer, but most never found it My read: the first 30 seconds of every world looked the same. Borders shuffled a little and a year counter ticked. What I shipped tonight: Every new world opens with a war. The biggest nation marches on its neighbour within seconds and a headline says so At 15 seconds a hint says "you are the hand of god, tap any nation", and it opens that nation's controls A "who rules in 2126?" box where you pick a winner, and at the 100-year mark it tells you if you called it A share panel after every postcard or clip, with a caption ready to go I'll post the before and after numbers next week. If you've fixed a "people leave in the first minute" problem, I'd love to hear what worked. submitted by /u/KnowledgeOk7634 [link] [comments]
