I made this chest plate for my next cosplay. I used EVA Foam and covered my seams (a bit wonky at place) with some Kwik seal. However, I was really heavy handed (I should have applied the Kwik seal differently, but I did not know any better at the time) and spread it too much around my seams. I am worried about the glossiness of the Kwik Seal layer. Even with a few layers of Plastidip on top, we can still easily distinguish it by it's glossiness compared to the foam (duller). So here is my question. If I paint (airbrush) over my chest plate, will the sheen of the paint be uniform, or will I still see a difference between the Kwik Seal and the foam area ? I really need to know, because if it's the case, I might as well not waste more time and make a new, cleaner chest plate (with a more reasonable amount of Kwik seal) submitted by /u/ThrowRA_Sodi [link] [comments]
