Hi all, This is my first reddit post to seek community help. My wife cooks great North Indian foods, and I am great at customer service/hosting. We are from Eastern UP. We both are working 9-5 but want to do something meaningful and new. I am seriously considering starting a small restaurant to offer home made budget meals (customised as per protein/macros), could you guys tell me good areas where I can start this, how much cost I need upfront and how can I get some funding (crowdsourced if possible). Also, whether I should keep short clean menu with 3-4 items per meal (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) or I should offer wider variety of options? I'm thinking simple meals - roti, sabji, rice, curry, khichdi, egg items including egg curry, litti, paratha etc. Is HSR a good location? Or should I try someplace else?
