At the age of just 20, jockey Billy Loughnane became the youngest rider in more than a century to be crowned champion jockey in Britain earlier this month, and as the clock struck three Friday afternoon, the reinsman belied his relative inexperience with a perfect steer aboard 9-5 favorite LIBERTANGO (IRE) (f, 2, No Nay Never–Ein Gedi {Ire}), by Oasis Dream {GB}), overcoming some trouble three furlongs out and coming with a stinging final-furlong flourish to take out the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at Keeneland.A filly prone to slow starts at home, the €130,000 Arqana August yearling turned Tattersalls Craven Sale Breezer was off to a decent beginning from her low stall and took the sit from fifth as Ruiva (Munnings), in off the also-eligible list, made the running in advance of Harper's Corner (Speaker's Corner).Forced to steady when G3 Sirenia Stakes heroine Moonrise (Ire) (Churchill {Ire}) bobbled right at the three-eighths pole, Libertango was steadied and taken hold of, still in the slipstream of that runner and with a good five lengths to find turning for home.
