By default, Emacs terminal emulators inherit their ANSI colors and background from the active Emacs theme, which can result in low contrast or unreadable text in terminal applications. The terminal-colors package decouples terminal colors from the global Emacs theme, applying dedicated palettes and buffer-local foreground and background colors modeled after standalone terminal emulators.
