A mother’s routine Walmart shopping trip reportedly took an unsettling turn when she noticed a woman with five children allegedly following her through the aisles and picking up the same items she did. Content creator Jordan Haase (@jordanhaase) later described the alleged encounter in a TikTok video, asserting the stranger’s behavior made her so uncomfortable that she hurried back to her car with her children. “Okay, I’m not gonna tell the whole story because I’m genuinely scared that this lady’s gonna find me, because like, it was weird,” Haase professed. She claimed that she had gone shopping with her young children while another child was at daycare when she noticed the woman and her five kids following her around the store from one section to another. Haase alleged that the woman appeared to be mirroring her shopping choices, picking up the same products she placed in her cart. The encounter became even more uncomfortable when the stranger allegedly began sharing intimate details about her personal life without being prompted. It was a very strange encounter The woman’s children also caught Haase’s attention. She claimed that “All of her children had their heads shaved. Again, whatever, to each their own. But none of the kids talked; they all just stared at me.” Haase said the woman was reportedly willing to share highly personal information with someone she had only just met. “No, this lady was literally willing to offer up the like nitty-gritty details of her life to me, a stranger in an aisle in Walmart,” she recalled. Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, Haase apparently decided to leave the store. However, she was stunned when she reached the parking lot as the woman’s vehicle was allegedly parked directly beside hers. She claimed that “I was parked in a baby spot, and she was parked in like a handicap spot, so we happened to be parked side by side.” “I loaded my kids into the car as fast as I possibly could, locked the s*** out of my doors, got in the car, and drove away,” she said. Haase also described being worried about whether the woman might follow her after she left. She did not share the full story, explaining that she was genuinely afraid the stranger might somehow find her. She also says she kept looking at the rearview mirror to make sure the woman was not following her car. According to the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center, an estimated 13.5 million people are stalked in a one-year period in the United States, while almost 1 in 3 women have experienced stalking victimization at some point in their lives. It also mentions that following and watching the victim is one of the common tactics used by stalkers. Department of Justice advises that if you think you are in danger or suspect that someone is following you, it is better to move to a crowded area or go to the nearest family member or friend. You should also make sure to notify the police or the nearest security personnel in case the person continues to follow you.
