I kept seeing people argue about whether the 5800X3D or the 7600X is the faster CPU, and the answers kept coming from user-submitted tables nobody could trust. So I made a tool that just does the math from my own benchmark data. It compares any 2 CPUs, or any 2 GPUs, head to head: - 112 CPUs and 85 GPUs on the list (197 parts total) - one percentage - how much faster one is, and which one leans harder into gaming - a 3D V-Cache note when the X3D cache actually changes the answer - 3% or less and I call it a tie, because smaller than that is inside the noise The 7600X comes out 5.1% ahead of the 5800X3D in my index. From my experience that is a clear advantage for most games, with the honest note that the X3D cache can flip specific CPU-limited titles. The indices come from my own benchmark runs (a reference-class desktop CPU reads about 1000), not from a crowd table. It is a quick, rough guide - not a measurement of your machine. If you want real numbers on your own build, run the CPU Benchmark on the same site instead. Everything is processed on your device, nothing leaves your tab, and there is no sign-up. https://appdoesit.com/apps/part-comparison/ Try it with the 2 parts you are actually choosing between and tell me if the gap surprised you :) submitted by /u/paq85 [link] [comments]
