So I've recently just moved in with my partner, and being a bit of a nerdy and organised person. (In my day job, I'm an analyst) I wanted to basically keep track of everything I now need to as a cohibiter. Who does what jobs, what we're having for dinner each night - a shared calendar (which also connects to Google). There was nothing quite right for my needs. And one phrase I've always been a fan of when it comes to side hustles/projects is "You're your own target audience". So I built it myself. What's in it: Calendar: shared plans, works with Google Calendar, and you can type "dinner with Mum Friday half 7" and it works out the rest Shopping: a shared list that adds up amounts (two recipes needing onions makes one line), and learns what you buy regularly Meals: a recipe book and week planner. The AI can plan the week around what you've got on, and you can turn a TikTok or Reel into a recipe Jobs: chores with reminders and repeats, and you can tick them off from the notification Spend: split costs, see who owes who, plus a breakdown of where the money actually goes Bills, trips, countdowns, a watch list with a wheel for when you can't decide, and pets A morning summary with the weather, today's plans, what's for dinner and what needs doing It's free to use. A paid plan adds the AI planning. My three favourite AI features are: Plan our week: This allows you to plan the next however many days that you want to. With the human in the loop (you) stating if there's anything you specifically want to use, any cuisines, if you have a target (low cal, high protein, anti inflammatory, etc) and then provides you with the list of recipes (you can change individual ones if you don't like all that it's thrown back) then you can add the missing ingredients to one shared shopping list - and on the day of cooking gives you the recipe step by step. TikTok recipe generator: Again, heavy on the cooking side of things. But I found a lot of my favourite recipes on tiktok. With this you can paste a TikTok link, it will in the background generate a transcript and then give you the step by step recipe which you can plan for any day. Smart calendar plans: When adding a plan to the Calendar you can smartly add it so you can either use a screenshot (say if you had a hotel confirmation), your speech or a text input. But if you say, "I play football every Wednesday night at 6:30pm until 7:30 at Hyde Park, London" it will create a plan (visable to you both) but as my plan (not us both) with a reoccuring plan every Wednesday between 6:30 and 7:30 with the location of Hyde Park, London. On the plan it now knows the location you play. And you can click "directions", and Google maps will guide you there. Like I've mentioned, this is now live on the Play Store - aware that around 48% of UK phones sold are iPhone - you can also access via n iPhone it installs from Safari to the Home Screen for now with an iOS app in the works. I'd really value honest feedback, especially: Does the first few minutes (signing up and pairing with your partner) make sense? Is there anything you'd expect to be in it that isn't? Anything confusing or broken? Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ourscouple.app Web or iPhone: https://ourscouple.com Happy to answer anything about building it, too. Also aware that other people will have different needs too. So if there are modules you'd be interested in having added or extra features - I'm all ears!
