Question about getting a job as a new ADN grad and having an unrelated bachelor's

Wait 5 sec.

I have a BS in IT and worked as an engineer for 2 years before pursuing nursing. I heard that it's still hard to get a job with just an ADN as opposed to a BSN. I've also heard that getting a BSN is very easy compared to the ADN in terms of program difficulty since all of the main coursework is already completed, so I feel like since I already have a bachelor's, I've kind of already proven myself, in a sense. Plus, if I say I'll work on my BSN while working, will that increase my chances of getting a job as an ADN new grad? Will I look better on paper to employers even with just an ADN, or will they not care since my Bachelor's is not related to nursing? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Constant_Divide_7327 [link] [comments]
