Vietnamese artist Đậu Thị Lê Na is set to present her work in Malta for the first time with a new exhibition titled VOICES.Now based in Malta, Lê Na will open the exhibition at The Drawing Room in Sliema on 13th November 2026, with the public exhibition running from 16th November to 7th December.VOICES explores painting as a process of discovery, with Lê Na often beginning a work without a fixed image in mind. A painting might start with a single line, colour or movement, before developing through a series of choices and responses. Her process includes experiments such as drawing with her eyes closed, working with her right and left hands separately, or inviting another person to make the first mark. From there, Lê Na decides how the work develops, whether by extending a form, interrupting a line, connecting shapes or leaving certain spaces unresolved. Some elements become recognisable as the painting evolves, while others remain open to interpretation. The exhibition also invites viewers to bring their own associations to the work, rather than searching for one fixed meaning or answer. The private exhibition will take place on 13th November, with the public exhibition running from 16th November to 7th December 2026.Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 7pm.•
